You will not believe what I did to my child....

Well, against my better judgment this weekend....we got her ears pierced. It was a very quick decision and before I knew it we were at the mall waiting for Ella's turn. Had we sat and thought about it for a little while longer I probably would have changed my mind. But, Ella handled it very well and she looks adorable!!! Now I don't have to glue bows to her head.

Take me out to the ball game

Ella went to her first babseball game last night. My dad and Jill took us to the Round Rock Express game. Ella loved it!! She talked to everyone around us, had her first chicken dance and even made it on the jumbotron. I wish I had a picture of the jumbotron it was very cute, she smiled and waved at the camera well..... kind of.

Then... she fell asleep

5 Months!!

Hello friends! Sorry it took me so long to post. I PROMISE I will get better. Well it is a week later and Ella LOVES her food. The odd look between bites has now been replaced with a smile and a wide open mouth! I haven't taken Ella to the doctor yet so I don't have any new stats, but she is very busy these days. She flips back and forth from her back to her stomach all day and gives her self tummy time a lot. When I used to give her tummy time she would scream at me. :) We have come a long way. She also holds her bottle and would like to hold her own spoon. She thinks she doesn't need me anymore. Here are some fun pictures of our chicky

More 1st feeding pics... I know I changed her bib.. I wanted it to you look cute in the pics

The after picture

Look at the little dress Brooke got for Ella in India

She gives big kisses now.... well it is really more like she is trying to eat my face

5 Months...What a big girl!

Surprisingly, this is Chad, not Megan. I have yet to post a "blog". This is usually reserved for Megan, but, in this special instance, I, the proud father, thought I would post the "blog". So let me start with May 11, 2008 (Mother's Day). Before I go any further, Happy Mother's Day Carol, Kathy, and Jill...and of course Megan. You are all great mothers and we love you all. Ok, back to Mother's Day. Oh wait, all of Megan's "girls" that called to wish her a Happy Mother's Day...you made her day! Ok. So it was around 1pm when Ella was sleeping and we noticed it was about time for her to get up and eat so her next feeding would not fall right in the middle of Mass. I asked Megan when we were going to start Ella on solid food...I furthered the inquiry with asking if I could feed her solid food. Megan did not hesitate and said, "I guess so...sure." Thus, we embarked on the journey of solid food (Gerber Rice Cereal). I know this may sound crazy that people would get so excited over Rice Cereal, but when you have a child...every little "new" thing is monumental. Back to the solid food. Well, Megan, as sweet as she always is...said I could feed her. This was really cool because Dads don't always get to experience the "firsts". Having said that, click below and watch what made my day.
