Suprise suprise!

Chad and I recently celebrated our four year anniversary. While on vacay we decided that we were ready to try for another baby. Well it happened A LOT faster this time and we are expecting a new baby soon. I found out the other day on the way to church that I was pregnant. I wanted to suprise Chad in some fun way, but he was going out of town for several days the next morning and I knew I couldn't keep that kind of secret for days. So on the way home from church late at night I texted Chad and asked him if he was ready to be a daddy again. He called me confused/excited and a bit hysterical. It was pretty cute. :)

The first person I told was my aunt Jeri. She was the LAST to find out about my pregnancy with Ella. She actually read it on Rachel's blog. I tried to tell her but I wasn't able to see her in person. So this time I decided she would find out first. I went to dinner with Jeri, Bob and Tab and told them that Ella was going to be a big sister, which sounds crazy when you see this little 7 month old baby. :) Jeri was thrilled and even cried a little bit.

We went to visit my dad and Jill the next day. We walked in with Ella and her big sister shirt and said look at the new shirt we got for Ella. Jill read the shirt and said "oh I am a big sister what does that mean?" Then it clicked. They were both so excited and a little surpised. I hadn't even had a chance to tell them we were trying yet.

The next weekend we went to Houston for Lindsey and Andy's couple shower. We arrived at Keith and Carol with this adorable little cutey dressed in her fancy new shirt. They were completely suprised. Then we all hopped in the car to go suprise aunt Lindsey. Lindsey said this was the best wedding present she could receive. She loves being an aunt!!!

A week later we went to visit my mom for the weekend. She told me she needed a good picture for her desk of Ella. So said here is your picture mom. It was a double frame and one side had a picture of Ella. The other side said "Picture to arrive in April". She looked at it and read it several times. Then yelled "Again?!!" I think my mom thought we were a bit crazy for having two kiddos so close together, but she was thrilled to meet her new grandbaby.

8 Months and Bruised :(

Our little Ella has seen better days... she is in the crawling and pulling up stage so hits her head on everything. Yesterday she had two small purple bruises on her forehead. Then she decided to crawl off of the end of the couch she fell head first and hit her head on a big wooden end table, then on the hard wood floor. Now she is covered in bruises. She looks like she has been in a fight... Chad said she took out a 4 year old. To make matters worse today she head butted Chad on the only non-bruised section of her forehead and made a big red mark. So looks like we have another bruise forming.

On the bright side, she is so much fun right now. She is crawling all over the place. :) She is also trying to start cruising around the furniture. I think she will be ready to walk for Aunt Lindsey's wedding. She has two teeth now and a couple more coming in on the bottom. She weighs 16 lbs and 12 oz. She is still a bit underweight but I think she is growing pretty quickly. I will have all of the measurments next month when she goes for her 9 month check up. She is also playing with us a lot and waving bye-bye!

So I realized there actually was a problem with commenting. When those creepy guys kept commenting on my page I turned up the security as high as it would go. So comment away people! :)

A Fabulous Vacation!

Chad took me to Corpus this week for our anniversary. Ella stayed with Lindsey and his mom so we could spend some time together. We stayed at a very nice hotel on the beach and had such a great time. Here are some of the pics.

Look at those Teeth!!

The other day we were trying very unsuccessfully to change Ella's earrings. This caused quite a bit of screaming and Carol and I discovered that Ella had two bottom teeth coming in. We had no idea she was even teething. The next day they popped out! :) Since then we decided that she was ready for big girl food! We moved her up to the stage 3 foods that have more chunks in them and she got to try SPAGHETTI for the first time!! YEEAA I am not sure if she liked it as much as her mommy, but we can work on that. :) Here is a pic of her big girl teeth!

Happy Birthday Daddy!!!!

Today is Chad's 27th birthday! Poor baby he never gets an exciting birthday because it is so close to our anniversary. That always seems to take priority he told me that I couldn't get him a gift since he was taking me on vacation. Ella and I want to tell you Happy Birthday Daddy!! Thank you for making your special day so special for us!
