On September 5, 2008, the sun was going down and temperature was finally dropping below 95 degrees. Ella and I started our adventure! An adventure that consisted of 2-briskets (30lbs.), 6-chickens (22 lbs), 10-sausages (5 lbs), and a whole lot of oak. Ella began by starting the smokers and preparing the meat(s) followed by a long, fun night of beer drinking, story telling, and maintaining the fires. Just Ella and daddy.
Ok, so in reality, Ella made her debut appearance at her first smoking event with daddy and it lasted 30 minutes, then she went to bed.
BUT, Ella and daddy had a lot of fun in that 30 minutes. And, I know she will make a perfect BBQ aficionado some day.
